Approximately 8.3% of the population (20.4 million Americans) are considered illicit drug users. This means that over the last year, a member of this group had used a drug such as marijuana/hashish, cocaine (including crack), heroin, hallucinogens, inhalants, inhalants, or prescription-type psychotherapeutics used nonmedically.
No industry or employment group is immune to Drug Abuse. For example, the Restaurant industry has a drug abuse rate of 17.4%% while the Construction industry is at 15.1%. Teachers and SOcial workers have almost a 5% rate.
