Read and use for applicants that you will not be hiring.

If the applicant lives in, worked in, or your company location is in San Francisco County, California; Montgomery County, Maryland; Prince George’s County, Maryland; Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; or in New York State, please use this special version of the Adverse Action Letter.

If, after a reasonable amount of time (HR Screening Services recommends ten business days), the applicant does not dispute the information in the background investigation, the employer should send the Adverse Action Letter.
